Much appreciated Andrew. I had read after posting that XBAP was being deprecated.
As for the look and feel, this is just a private app - not planning to release it or sell it - and my graphical skills are very limited. Will look around for what I can find graphically that doesn't detract too much from the Media Center style.

I wish to write an annin/app for Media Center, but wanted to get some input as to which option is best for me before I went too far down the wrong track. MCML, or XAML? And with XAML, aren't there 2 ''options'' - loose XAML, or XBAP app or something?
