Hi,
We need to port an app we already have running in Javascript over to MCML. We're looking to contract someone with this type of experience rather than learning MCLML ourselves.
Technically, it's essentially a glorified slide show that pulls an ongoing series of XMLs and the images they specify from the Internet in a live feed. The app senses screen size and displays files in the appropriate resolution full-screen without borders or chrome, and applies crossfades between images. The downloaded images are also cached for bandwidth-free display on future passes. Other elements in the initial version include watermarked logo overlay, remote button press (currently mouse click) to change feeds and login/cookie authorization mechanism (the latter is not currently implemented in JS but imminent). Hopefully this is pretty straightforward stuff, especially given a working Javascript model.
I realize that this would probably be simplest with Hosted HTML, but we perceive that we need MCML for appropriate frame rates to deliver long smooth crossfades both on WMC and extenders.
You can see more about the project at http://www.ArtStreams.TV, including downloading a free .exe player. You can even see the existing Javascript code in question directly at http://live.artstreams.tv.
This project could also lead to involvement in a more robust phase 2 implementation. If you are interested in this opportunity, please drop me a line with some creds and/or examples, and hopefully some ballpark idea of how involved you think this project is. Clarifying questions welcome.
