    Re: 7MC SDK

Yeah, you have to be part of either the Windows 7 beta (possibly the Media Center specific one) or the Windows Ecosystem connection. At least it's available in both of those for me.

I've been told though that the SDK should be made available on MSDN "soon". How true that is, as there is still a bit of content to be added to the SDK, I don't know.

    Re: 7MC SDK

Can the rest of us get access to this please?  Or some timeline on when we might get access to this in the future?

    Re: 7MC SDK

The "M" sample readme file is very confusing, especially the "How TO Install' section.

This section references Fiji, has several typos, and is generally hard to navigate.

    Re: 7MC SDK

Should we expect an updated SDK to be made available any time soon? The one currently available seems to be from back in January, i.e. even older than the public W7 beta.

    Re: 7MC SDK

Is there an RTM version of the SDK available yet?

    Re: 7MC SDK

That's exactly what I was wondering. Can't seem to find it on MSDN and the one available on Connect (the Ecosystem connection btw - which should be fairly important as it includes logo-fying etc) is _still_ from January 26th which if I understand the previous posts correctly isn't even the latest version?

I'm sitting here with a feeling someone is trying to burry Media Center as a platform...

    Re: 7MC SDK

What is it exactly that you're looking for?

The 7MC SDK on MSDN works with the RTM build, so you have MCMLPad and MCMLVerifier in there, plus the "2008" MCML intellisense.

The same situation was true with Vista - the SDK didn't come out until GA, if I remember correctly.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

*EDIT* SDK is here http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/5/0/7501F066-9B35-4F9E-8A63-0957687DE1E6/WindowsMediaCenterSDK6.msi not on MSDN.

    Re: 7MC SDK

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm looking for actual documentation. The MCMLPad and Verifier are of secondary concern as I'm running against a build server anyhow. btw: the SDK you linked is the same one provided above by David, still tagged as "preliminary" with certain methods/properties undocumented.

    Re: 7MC SDK

    If it's documentation you're after you're SOL - just as you've always been :)

This is one of the reasons I wanted to put a Wiki together, so that we can all share our knowledge of the areas where the documentation is patchy.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Re: 7MC SDK

    Figured as much really.

With regards to the wiki, I'm guessing you never got an update from Steve on moving this site to the latest version of CS or including a separate Wiki? If so I can still setup a Developers group on the myTV forums.

That said, with the current level of activity on this site it almost seems like everyone has either abandoned the platform or are keeping their "secrets" even closer to their chest :)
